I am proud to announce that I am officially a candidate for Clark County Recorder 2018. Most of you probably don’t know much about the recorder’s office, other than it’s the place where all of the deeds and mortgages are recorded. Well, I too did not know the importance of this office until 2012 when I became a title abstractor.
I work for a title company, as a title abstractor, which means I am one of the members of the public who work daily in the recorder’s office, as well as all of the other offices in the courthouse, searching and examining the records kept there. So, whenever my fellow residents of Clark County have bought, sold, or refinanced their homes, chances are I was one of the many title abstractors who provided the information from the courthouse to the title companies, in order to make sure the title to your homes were free and clear from liens and encumbrances. Without the information that comes from the courthouse, banks are unable to lend money for home purchases and refinancing. This is just a small summary of why the recorder’s office is important.
I know that with all of the experience I have within this office, and knowing the strengths and weaknesses that our recorder’s office has in comparison to all of our surrounding counties recorder’s offices that I have researched in, I would be a great asset as Clark County Recorder. If you’d like to know more, please feel free to contact me. I’d be honored to have your support and ask for your vote in the upcoming election.
